Last month when emed was presented in a monthly meeting of the members of Unique Lions Club Faisalabad, they desired to have an emed health camp for their members. On 13.6.2009, a health camp with free tests on blood sugar level, cholesterol level, body mass index, bone mineral density, body calcium & Vitamin D levels was organized with a lecture on Vitamin D by Prof Ahmad Bilal & free medical consultancy by emed doctors.

Camp was arranged in the seminar room of Ophthalmology ward of Allied hospital & was attended by more than 50 members of unique lions club with their families, Prof Ahmad Bilal , Dr Khurram Raja, Dr Zahid Masood Khan, Dr Hina Ayesha & Dr Humaira Arshad addressed the members on medical problems, children diseases & women diseases & problems.

It was very revealing that majority of the audience when under took various tests they were found low in calcium & vitamin D levels. The level of sensitivity and curiosity of the audience regarding good health & healthy life style was appreciable.

At the conclusion of the camp, President Unique Lions Club Syeda Dure Shehwar & Coordinator Mr Maqbool Malik thanked emed doctors, students & members of the pharmaceutical companies for creating awareness in their members & for providing vital health information. Mrs Dure Shehwar announced that collaboration of Unique Lions Club with emed will continue in the future & emed doctors will be invited in their monthly meetings regularly.
