Awareness lecture on Hepatitis

School Faisalabad gives a big boost to the efforts of emed in implementing a Coordinated School Health System when their Principal, Mrs Fatima Naqvi got the system approved from their Head Office. Initiating the system, President emed, Associate Professor Dr Ahmad Bilal delivered an awareness lecture on Hepatitis to the staff of the school on Wednesday, 19.10.2005 which was termed highly beneficial by the staff.

Proceedings were started by General Secretary emed, Assistant Professor Dr Khurram Sohail Raja who briefly presented introduction of emed & the emed teachers present on the occasion. He told the audience that Dr Ahmad Bilal is a gold medallist throughout his academic career & on secret balloting among the medical students, he is declared as best teacher in Punjab Medical College.

Dr Hina Ayesha was introduced as best graduate, first lady child specialist in Faisalabad & Project Director of School Health System of emed.
Dr Ahmad Bilal in his presentation showed the condition of water supply to Faisalabad city which is aiding the spread of Hepatitis in the people. He gave the history of the disease, present prevalence of Hepatitis in the world & Pakistan & estimated cost of treatment which nears annual budget of our country.

Dr Ahmad Bilal's lecture was packed with role plays which delivered message to the audience how disease spreads while sharing every day articles & how that can be prevented. Principal City School, Mrs Fatima Naqvi & Vice Principal termed the lecture as highly informative for the audience & staff & desired that emed doctors arrange a vaccination camp for Hepatitis in the school.

Dr Hina Ayesha promised to arrange that camp for the staff & students of the school soon
