Awareness activity at Allied School of Nursing, Faisalabad on 3.9.2008

 

emed awareness drives on road safety in collaboration with city traffic police Faisalabad continue to show a run of success & its next activity took place in Allied school of nursing on 3.9.2008 where Dr Khurram Sohail Raja & Dr Humaira Arshad represented emed while lady traffic wardens from education unit of city traffic police, under the supervision of Inspector Ghulam Shabbir Khan, represented their department as well s emed.

 

The team was received by the Principal of the school, Mrs Perveen Akhtar along with her staff members & appreciated the efforts put in by the newly recruited police officers for maintaining the traffic rules & awareness regarding road safety.

 

Following were the interactive lectures delivered to the undergraduate nurses of 2nd year % 3rd year.

The audience which was 100 in number attended the session with keen interest & found the session extremely informative & interesting.

 

General Secretary emed, Assistant Professor Dr Khurram Raja welcomed the educational unit of the city traffic police to their institution & dictated 3 points to the audience as their take home message on road safety:

 

1- The audience will insist their fathers, brothers & relatives to wear helmets while driving a motor cycle.

2- They will pass the message of not talking on mobile phones while driving a vehicle and,

3- They will observe that while they are with their relations that they observe the lanes on the road.

 

Vice President emed, Dr Humaira Arshad said that traffic looks in a better shape since the introduction of the new traffic wardens but insisted that they should stress maximum on how the pedestrians should walk on the roads & how they cross the roads.

 

In the end, Inspector Shabbir Khan thanked the emed officials & the staff & students of the nursing school on their warm welcome & keen interest in the presentations.
