Prof Ahmad Bilal & Dr Khurram Sohail Raja along with their agile team of doctors spent a day at College of Paramedics Faisalabad on 6.5.2008. Principal of the college, Dr Zaeem Tipu & other teachers including Dr Naeem, Dr Mohammad Bilal, Dr Khalid Javed received the emed team & appreciated their spirit of creating awareness in the young students of the college which are also a very important part of the health team.
The activity started with introduction of aim & objectives of emed delivered to the paramedical students by Dr Khurram Sohail Raja. It was followed by an awareness lecture on ‘Healthy Lifestyle’ by Prof Dr Ahmad Bilal. Paramedical students of various classes showed tremendous interest in the lecture & the question-answer session lasted more than an hour. Dr Khurram Raja introduced the emed team in the college to Prof Ahmad Bilal.
President and General Secretary emed assured the emed team that they will be a very effective part of health teams of emed & message of health promotion will be very impressively delivered to the masses through them.
Students had already invited their parents for free screening tests in the health camp. The free tests were of sugar, cholesterol, serum calcium & bone mineral density (BMD).
The camp that started at 10:00 a.m lasted till 3:00 p.m. without any break & staff of college of paramedics termed the camp as very successful. The team of doctors accompanying their seniors was Dr Tauseef Iqbal, Dr Jahangir Ali, Dr Ayesha Anwar, Dr Asma Tariq, Dr Noor, Dr Shazia, Dr Hafsa & Dr Ammara. After the camp, many students contacted the office emed for another camp in the college.
