The public members of emed cover a broad base. They come from almost all walks of life & emed traffic wardens are working with the global health organization since June 2008. During this time they have participated in awareness walks, sports, multiple health camps, emed convention, skit and poem competitions and awareness programs on road safety.
In the year 2010, they designed to organize a quiz in some government school and the beauty of the program was health based questions from the traffic wardens thus creating health education to all including participants, audience and the facilitators.
The program was planned for Thursday, 6.5.2010 in Government Sabria Sirajia Boys High School with the efforts of emed Core Committee member, Mr Waseem Siddiq, Senior Vice President, Mr Tariq Mushtaq, Principal of the School, Mr Ikram ul Haq and the Coordinator in the School, Mr Asghar Ali.
The team of emed traffic wardens comprised of Muhammad Ismail, Dastgir Malik, M.Arshad, Miss Huma and other colleagues.
Three teams of students from classes 8th, 9th and 10th prepared hard on the topics of balanced diet, personal hygiene and exercise and their respective students attended the occasion as the audience.
Traffic wardens conducted the quiz with able support from Waseem Siddiq and Tariq Mushtaq. The Principal and his staff members keenly observed the events and enjoyed the tough competition which was finally won by the team from Class 8th of the school. The winners and the runner up teams were awarded prizes by the traffic wardens and their Principal.
Talking on the occasion, Principal Mr Ikram ul Haq termed the occasion as a mile stone for the learning process of the students as they learned very important things on general health issues. He thanked Dr Khurram Sohail Raja, Waseem Siddiq and Tariq Mushtaq for organizing a unique event and specially thanked the traffic wardens team for gracing the occasion with their visit and participation.
