Free health camps on the platform of emed is one self less event which is widely hailed since its initiation in 2006 and they are very regularly continued to this year. People from all over Faisalabad request for these camps and emed has not left any corner of the slums where these free camps are not held.
On the request of Mr Sohail Irshad and Mrs Asia Sohail, one such camp was organized for the poor people of Naimat Colony Faisalabad on 15.2.2010 in which free screening tests of cholesterol, sugar, hepatitis, calcium, vitamin-D, bone mineral density (BMD) and body mass index (BMI) were done and free consultation was given. Emed team comprised of Dr Khurram Raja, Dr Aslam Bhatti, Waseem Siddique, Dr Affaf Javed, Dr Abdul Qadus, Dr Aurangzeb, Dr Yasir Ijaz and Dr Mohammad Omer.
Free examination for eye diseases was also arranged by emed and imminent Ophthalmologist of the city, Dr Mohammad Aslam Bhatti examined large number of males and females visiting the camp. The camp started at 12:00 p.m. and convened till 5:00 p.m without any break.
Inaugurating the camp, Mrs Asia Sohail thanked Dr Khurram Raja and his team for responding to the request of Mr Sohail Irshad and arranged a camp which proved so beneficial for the poor people of the locality.
Dr Khurram Raja and Mr Waseem Siddiq thanked the organizers and stressed upon the need of creating more health awareness in the poor people who can not afford the costly treatment of diseases & who suffer badly once caught up in the claws of dangerous ailments.
