Electronic Medicine (emed) has always been a very supportive and a helpful organization to Beaconhouse School System as the team of its dynamic doctors is always geared up to spread health related information and awareness to the masses.

In a similar context a team of doctors namely; Dr.Khurram Sohail Raja, Dr.Zeeshan Chughtai and Dr.Tauseef Iqbal paid a visit to the Primary Branch (104-C Peoples Colony, Faisalabad) on 24.12.2009, to spread the word of awareness and prevention against SWINE FLU which has taken the shape of a disastrous pandemic.

The doctors reported that SWINE Flu (a viral syndrome) is no different than an ordinary flu however; it is causing a huge loss to the public involving high risk factors for children and the old.

They emphasized on few simple things to be practiced on daily basis to avoid this flu which includes wearing warm woolen clothes, gargling with warm salty water, keeping eyes, nose and mouth clean and maximum intake of tea or coffee and other warm liquids etc.

The session was interactive as the children and teachers cleared many queries related to its symptoms, cure, diagnosis, medicines and preventive measures to be taken etc.

Dr.Tauseef Iqbal vastly talked on every aspect of the SWINE FLU and provided the children with every possible fact and acquaintance.

Later, Dr.Khurram and Dr.Zeeshan summed up the whole discussion with a recap of all the important actions to be followed to steer clear of the perils of SWINE FLU.

emed highlighted the idea of ‘Prevention’ which is by all means better than ‘Cure’. Headmistress of the branch, Mrs Dure Shehwar Saleem also attended the session.
