In South Asia many political & social movements evolved & Scouts & Guides movement was one of them. It was started by an Englishman, Lord Benden Powell. It is an International movement and is based on the basic Principles of Islam and makes patriotic & useful children.
emed Scouts & Guides is a joint project of emed, Rescue 1122 Faisalabad & City Traffic Police Faisalabad and is approved & notified by Department of Education, Government of Punjab, in which children’s training is modified in light of the present national needs of Pakistan.
Government Technical High School for Boys is the 1st school to launch the program on November 6th & then to receive the scouts training on 16th & 17th of December 2009. Twenty students of Class 9 & 3 teachers were selected by the school administration to be trained as Master Trainers in the school. On the 1st day, team of Rescue1122 gave the introduction of the program along with the training on Emergency Services, Civic Responsibilities, Basic Life Support (ABC & CPR) and Spinal Injury Management along with Pre & Post Tests.
On the same day, team of City Traffic Police Faisalabad gave Accident Analysis, Road Markings & General Traffic Rules. On the 2nd day, emed doctors updated the under training scouts on Healthy Life Style including Common Health Problems in school going children in Pakistan, Balanced Diet, Exercise & Personal Hygiene along with Pre & Post Tests on every topic.
The Master Trainers will now hold training sessions for other school children of their school on regular basis & a proper Database will be maintained by emed office with the kind & cordial cooperation from the Principal of the Technical High School, Mr Tauqeer Ahmad Shah & the Focal person in the school, Mr Masood Anwar. Hope the project will proceed with all the good intentions of the collaborators.
